Here’s a few things to look at for when buying bags of rice
1) size of grain – short, medium or long grain , depending on your personal preference. short grain is my personal preference, I feel like it absorbs seasoning well and tastes better however if not cooked with care u can end up with a pot of sticky rice.
2) dryness of the rice grains, usually when rice is too dry,weevils easily get in and when its not been dried at all, its usually too starchy and ends up sticky when cooked. If you intended to store the rice at home for a while, its best to go for rice thats in between wet and dry.
3) how full the bag is , make sure the bag of rice you are buying is as full as it should be.
